Submit two files in .doc format.
The first file has a Cover Page that includes the Title of the Research Article, the Name(s) of the Author(s) with the highest academic degrees, position, and complete address of the School the author(s) is/are connected, and the contact details (email address & phone number) of the corresponding author. Include in the Cover Page the AI Use Declaration (see details below). The succeeding pages will be the full manuscript with References.
The second file contains the same content BUT the Cover Page is WITHOUT the name(s) of the author(s) to facilitate the double blind peer review.
These files are to be uploaded to the designated Submission Portal.
Submitting AI-generated article as your own original work is unacceptable. The entire article will be checked for AI and the acceptable threshold is 20-30%.
Declare and properly cite AI-generated content in case of use. Disclose the AI app as well as the search command or prompts used when AI tools were used. Non-delacration of AI Use may result to article rejection if use of AI is suspected. If not used, reflect that as well in the Declaration.
At the Cover Page of the article for submission, insert the AI Use Declaration. Use the APA format for AI declaration or follow this template when declaring the use of AI tools/apps:
AI Use Declaration:
I have used ___(AI app/software/tool used) in ___(describe how you used it; e.g., checking grammar). [In case used for searching or other instances, include the prompts used] I have typed the following phrase/s when using the __: (mention the AI app/tool and include the word/s or phrase/s used as prompts).
Authorship is appropriate for individuals who have made a substantial professional contribution to the work. Ghost authorship, honorary or gift authorship, as well as AI-generated article has no place in the academic journals. We require authors to submit an Authorship Statement; download the Authorship Statement file and have it signed by all named authors in the article. Upload the signed file to the Submission Portal.
The order of listing corresponds to the proportion of contribution with the first author as the primary contributor. If alphabetically listed, the assumption is that the individuals have equal contribution. Senior author is listed last and properly indicated.
Correction such as change in the name/s of authors, re-sequencing of authors will have to go through a process with formal submission of a Request for Correction to the Editor-in-Chief.
Approval of a Research Ethics Committee or Board is an advantage and helps ensure that the research, from which the article was derived, observed the necessary ethical considerations.
The Submission Portal includes an entry for authors to submit a copy (or link to the copy) of the Research Ethics approval of the Research Protocol for your article.
